How we handle the information you give us through this website.
Last updated: 21 July 2026
This policy covers this website: the enquiry form, cookies and analytics. If you are already receiving support from us, the way we handle your clinical records is covered by a separate notice. To request a copy, email c.pointon@omegalife.uk.
Omega Life Clinical provides psychology, psychotherapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and support to education, from our clinics in Stone and Prescot. We are part of the Omega Life family of services.
The form asks for your first and last name, email address, an optional phone number, whether you are a parent, an adult seeking support, a professional or a setting, which service your enquiry is about, and a free-text message.
We use this only to respond to your enquiry and to work out the right next step with you. It is sent straight to our clinical referrals inbox as an email. It is not saved to a database, and it is not stored on the website itself.
Because the message box is free text, you may choose to tell us about health, a diagnosis or a child's needs. That is special category data under UK GDPR, which is why the form asks you to tick a box before sending. Please only include what you are comfortable sharing at this stage: you do not need to give us a full history to start a conversation.
Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these to identify individual visitors.
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, which will make the banner appear again.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for marketing. We use a small number of suppliers who process data on our behalf:
We may share information where we are required to by law, or where there is a safeguarding concern about a child or an adult at risk. Safeguarding is the one situation where we may need to pass information on without your agreement.
Enquiries that do not become referrals are kept in our inbox for [retention period for general enquiries] and then deleted. If your enquiry becomes a referral, it is kept as part of your clinical record under [clinical records retention schedule, which is set by professional and statutory requirements rather than by us].
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
Some of these rights work differently for clinical records, because we have professional obligations to keep accurate records for a set period. We will always explain if that applies.
To exercise any of these, email m.carter@omegalife.uk. If your request is about clinical records specifically, email c.pointon@omegalife.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. Email m.carter@omegalife.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so clearly rather than quietly editing it.
Tell us a little about what is going on. We will help you work out the right service and the next step, whether you are a family or a professional making a referral.
Referrals and enquiries from families and professionals are both welcome.
